Grades1 & 2
July 6 through July 17, 9-12 am

Grades 3 & 4
July 20 throu July 31, 9-12 am

Grades 5 & 6
July 6 through July 17, 2-5 PM

Grades 7 through 12
July 20 through July 31, 2-5 PM

childrens theatre.jpg (11573 bytes) These workshops provide children and young people the opportunity to take part in a training program in the theater arts. The drama coach for these workshops will be Ms Mershon West. Ms West will be leading this workshop for the third year. Her special interest in bringing theater skills and awareness to children is apparent and one of the reasons children attend this program year after year. She is currently a Drama and Technical Theater Instructor at the Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, NC.

While a modest tuition will be collected from the participants the tuition will in no way cover the costs of presenting the workshop. To defray these costs we must rely on the financial support of county residents and businesses who believe as we do that the shared experience of this workshop will engender an abiding interest in theater, expose the children to the many facets of theater production, help prepare them to face an audience, and most of all be a benefit to all those who participate.

While every contribution will be welcome, a tax-deductible donation of $50-$100 or more would go a long way toward making a success of this program. Please help us in any way you can to present a meaningful and memorable workshop for our children. Your help will be very much appreciated.
