The Pamlico County Chamber of Commerce

The Pamlico County Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of advancing the economic, industrial, professional, cultural and civic welfare of the Pamlico County Area:

To encourage the growth of existing industries and businesses while giving all proper assistance to any new firms or individuals seeking to locate in the Pamlico County Area.
To Support all those activities believed to be beneficial to the community and area, to oppose those which might be detrimental.
In general, to promote the welfare of all area citizens, following always those policies intended to accomplish the greatest good for the greatest number.
The statements above are the stated objective which appear in the by-laws.
Our monthly meetings are geared toward helping local business be exposed to the ever changing environment of our economy.
The board of Directors is composed of the annually elected or retained officers: consisting of the President, Vice-President, Correspondence Coordinator, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, and immediate past President. The Chairman of the following Councils shall be nonvoting ex-officio members; Community and Business Development, Economic Development, Membership Development, and Agri-Marine.

Why Join the Chamber of Commerce?

The real question should be "why not?". The exposure you will gain from associating with other business people is invaluable. Sharing conversation with others who have similar problems and solutions, might give you ideas to help solve a particular situation of yours.

The Chamber has it’s own directory which is updated every year.

The members are recognized for their efforts with chamber activities and programs.

We have completed a map of Pamlico County which shows the location of all our members businesses.

This year we have added a new format for our monthly meetings in which members will host an after-work meeting and time will be allotted for members to tell about their business and new members will be introduced. There are over 300 businesses that are located in Pamlico County and more who do business here, our new format will allow you to find out more about others whose goods or services might benefit you in your business.

We welcome membership from anyone who might contribute to the growth of commerce in Pamlico County.
