It's a dream whose time has come. The prescription for change is forward thinking people and businesses with humanitarian spirit. The free clinic is now a reality for those Pamlico County residents in need. Visit this site often to learn what progress is being made and why there is hope for the HOPE Clinic.

Quality Medical Care HOPE Clinic provides free medical care to the uninsured and underinsured of the Pamlico County peninsula. Open every Thursday night at the Health Department, the volunteer staff offers basic medical care, free prescription medication, diagnostics, and referrals. HOPE is one of 36 free medical clinics across North Carolina.

Free to those who qualify. The so-called "working poor": Too little money to pay for private insurance (or receive it on the job) and too much money to qualify for assistance.

Volunteers and Donations

The patients are the "working poor" in one of North Carolina’s poorest counties. Most of the volunteer staff are either working in or have retired from the medical field.
