CALL 911 for ambulance, fire and police

LAW ENFORCEMENT is provided by Pamlico County Sheriffs Department and by the Town Police of Bayboro and Oriental

FIRE protection is given by the all-volunteer departments listed below. They on-call 24 hrs per day to fight fires, help with extrication, traffic control and other emergencies

Station 21	Florence & Whortonville VFD	Florence covers Florence and Whortonville
Station 23	Vandermere VFD	Vandermere covers Vandermere and Mesic
Station 25	Goose Creek VFD	Hobucken covering Goose Creek, Hobucken and Lowland

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

Pamlico Rescue based in Bayboro responds to medical emergencies for all of Pamlico and, for serious cases, provide, Advance Life Saving (ALS) and ambulance service for the County.

In the Southeast Pamlico VFD area a team of First Responders provides medical treatment until Pamlico Rescue ambulance arrives on the scene.

For major trauma cases Eastcare will airlift patients by helicopter to appropriate trauma centers.

VOLUNTEERS

We need volunteers for fire departments and for rescue. If you are 18 years or older, have a high school education and want to help contact any of the fire and rescue squads or contact the Emergency Management Coordinator at the Pamlico County Courthouse for information on how to join.

Can we find you?

Your house or apartment number should be clearly visible from the road so that our emergency response team can find you at 2 o'clock in the morning

ON-THE-WATER USE MARINE CHANNEL 16

The emergency marine channel 16 alerts the Coastguard Station at Hobucken and can also be used to contact Deatons US Tow Boat services 24 hrs per day.
