JUNE PAINTERS
1999

The Oriental June Painters will get together the week of June 6^th for the 35^th time.
The artists will be at M & M's the evening of June 10^th exhibiting their week's work. This is a fine opportunity to meet them and see their art.

This group started as Joe Cox' Summer Art School in 1965. Joe, a professor at North Carolina State University's School of Design led the class until 1991. Parkinson's disease prevented him from continuing. He passed away in 1997.

Many of those who participated enjoyed it so much they have kept it going.

Among those attending this year are Doris Buchanan of Cary; Marriott and Bill Little of Raleigh; Jim Norman, Goldsboro; Margot Richter, Wake Forest; and Margaret Dotson, Chesterfield, South Carolina.

Traveling not so far will be Janet Adkins, Minnesott Beach and Charles Bird, Bonnie Kendall and Ashton Whipple, all of Oriental.

Paintings of these artists will be on display at M & M's Café from June 7^th thru the end of the month.
