Arts in Pamlico, Summer '98

PLEIN AIR PAINTERS

Janet Adkins’ summer sketching class will display their season’s work at a "gathering" at the Trawl Door Restaurant on Wednesday July 22^nd at 5:30 P.M. Art enthusiasts are invited to chat with the artists; refreshments will be served. janetad.jpg (38993 bytes)

Janet has been teaching this class, sponsored by the Pamlico Community College since 1990.

Oriental Harbor, Whittaker Creek, Minnesott Beach and the homes and gardens of area residents have served as sketching locations. Sailboats, golf carts, flowers, trawlers, dogs, shoes and even fellow artists have provided subject material.

This year’s participants are Carole Boris, Bonnie Kendall, Charlie Bird, Molly Raper, Paula Valinoti, Ashton Whipple, Jeanne Hertig, Ross Kingsley, Ilona Forgeng and Richard Clements.
