October, midway between summers heat and the crispness of the Christmas season, provided perfect weather for the artists on Styron Drive to open their studios and homes presenting a wide variety of fresh and innovative creations.

Jean Dexter and Ellen Demko filled Dexters home, studio and decks with watercolors, collage, and acrylic paintings along with ceramic sculptures and wall pieces for in and out of doors. Demko, known for her glass work will be displaying a wide variety of original designs. They include fused and slumped pieces, kaleidoscopes, unique glass constructions and traditional copper foiled window pieces.

and his new poster/mug Oriental Centennial series. John and Juliana Pooles
sculptures and wood carvings added three dimensionality with interesting pieces in the
round and bas relief.

Bonnie Kendall and Charlie Birds "Caribbean Cottage" studio was an exciting addition to this years "Artists at Home." Sited on the edge of a marsh view garden; it is the nursery for a variety of seriously whimsical art.
Visitors are greeted on the left side of the driveway by a six foot tall
giraffe descended from a leaf grinder.

June Carpenters handcrafted jewelry, using folding, weaving and applique techniques along with gemstones and semi-precious beads will be joined in her studio by Dixie Bridge and her watercolors, colorful hand painted silk scarves and other lovely fabric creations
